The demand is increasing for new model car, so company every year make the new model cars. The Camry hybrid and the Camry sedan are manufactured by Toyota since 1982. The Camry hybrid and the Camry sedan is a Japanese car. These cars are the best-selling cars in North America and also sell in Australia very well. The Camry Hybrid and the Camry Sedan has been reshaped for 2013 and represents the seventh-generation model. The present Toyota Camry interior is very pretty than the past Camry’s, and it is the four-cylinder engine is additional powerful. On other hand, The Toyota Camry Hybrid of 2013 is understated about its fuel efficiency. It offers both impatient speeding up and great fuel economy. Camry Hybrid drives Zero to 60 in just 7. 4 seconds, it is not sports car, but it’s faster than the regular four-cylinder Camry. The Toyota Camry Hybrid a nd the Camry Sedan of 2013 is offered in XLE and LE trim levels. The LE features 16-inch steel wheels, automatic headlights, keyless ignition/entry, full power accessories, dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, a trip computer, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity, a 6-inch display and a six-speaker sound system with a HD radio, CD player, , an auxiliary input, satellite radio and a USB/iPod interface. The XLE adds heated exterior mirrors, 17-inch alloy wheels, a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Three engines were presented for this generation. The first was a 2. 4-liter four-cylinder that complete 154 hp (145 with PZEV emissions controls). It was reproduced to either a five-speed manual or a five-speed automatic transmission (four-speed prior to '05) and must be powerful sufficient for the common of buyers. A 3. 0-liter V6 that made 190 hp was also offered (18 hp less prior to '04) on the LE and XLE trim levels, while a 210-hp, 3 . 3-liter V6 (introduced for 2004) was offered on the SE model only. These six-cylinder Camry’s came by the automatic only.In preceding years, these power numbers were greater for the reason that of a change in measurement that happened in 2006, while actual output not once changed. The Toyota Camry Hybrid of 2013 is animatedly accomplished. Thanks a lot to careful suspension tuning, the position of car during driving is sticks fit to the road as well as is generally untouched by bumps and ruts. The electric-assist power steering is soft and quick turning, however it suffers from a lack of comment and some drivers might be catch its effort too graceful.

Yet again, he suffered another rejection. Usher simply pushed him aside and said, â€Å"It's cold outside buddy, don't worry about it. † He took off. This kid and the manager would fly to several states in 2 or 3 days. Meet with record producer, labels, and musicians. And every record label would say no to him. They said he had no platform. They need this kid to come from an experienced background like Disney. There's no other option for him right now. Eventually this manager went to Usher's recording studio, and Usher had to let him tryout. After a few minutes listening to this kid.He looked at the manager and asked him, â€Å"Who is this kid? † in astonishment. And the kid answered, miou don't remember. You blew me off the other day. † It was not Just his amazing voice, it was his hair, his face, and his down to earth attitude. He just soaked up all the air in the room. It was beyond convinced that Usher had delivered a gift. That's it, he has singed a contract with Usher. The mom and the kid is moving to the His grandfather, looking him walking pass the gate at the airport. He knew it was time to let this kid go. b. There were people standing outside the arena because they cant affordti, what he did was he walked outside the arena and gave free tickets that sit right up close to the stage to these girls. The fact that this kid can do this for his fans is amazing. – In the end, it's Just him with his pen, nd paper in a room expressing his feelings and telling the world who he really is through his music. He said, â€Å"I'm 19 years old. I think I'm doing a pretty good Job.Basically from my heart I really Just want to say it really should be about music. It should be about the craft that I'm making. This is not a gimmick and I'm an artist and I should be taken seriously. † – And he's right, so far at this point, he have won countless awards. 2 Grammy awards, 1 Brit awards, 6 Billboard Music Awards, 7 American Music Awards, 11 Teen Choice Awards, and the most prestigious award in the music industry, the milestone award. Which celebrate Ill. Conclusion IVe already signed up for the concert, its too late to back up now. I got on the stage alone, and I sung.My legs and hands were shaking. I asked myself â€Å"Will I be a dumb joke to the school? † But no, the audience leaped up from their chair, they applaud and clapped. Shocking, I couldn't believe my own eye. Teachers were asking me to sing for their concert. Then I realized I was wrong. There's nothing wrong with dreaming big, when you have believe in yourself. You only live once to follow your own dream. Don't follow anyone else's pathway. However, if you're lost in the wood and you found a pathway, by all mean follow that. And most importantly, don't listen to anyone's advice. So here's my advice Heres the mode l that IVe lived by. â€Å"There's gonna be time in your life when people tell you that you cant do something. And there's gonna be time in your life when people say you can't live your dream. And there's gonna be time in your life when people say that you can't sell out Madison Square Garden. This is what I tell them. Never Say Never. † Justin Bieber â€Å"Don't ever let someone tell you that you can't do something. Not even me. You got a dream, you gotta protect it. When people can't do something themselves, they are onna tell you that you can't do it.

Financial crises between 2007 2010 (about Dubai) Essay

Financial crises between 2007 2010 (about Dubai) - Essay Example Buildings like the Burj Khalifa remained largely unoccupied. In 2009, Dubai suggested that it may not be able to pay the impending six month interest payments on its loans. Abu Dhabi then came to its rescue with a $ 10 billion bailout. In the year 2009, Dubai stumbled into a debt crisis. During the years of economic boom before 2008, the investment arm of Dubai, Dubai World had borrowed heavily. It had racked up more than $ 59 billion in debt. Dubai World had borrowed hugely to invest in lavish projects in Dubai. These included Las Vegas casino style glittering properties and a giant island that was shaped like a palm tree; besides the tallest building in the world: the Burj Khalifa. Nakheel is the real estate developer owned by Dubai World, the investment arm of the state of Dubai. Prominent among the constructions of Nakheel are palm-shaped islands and the Atlantis Hotel. $ 3.52 billion of the Islamic bonds of Nakheel also became due and Nakheel had no liquidity to pay them off. It was part of one of the largest tranches of Islamic bonds that Nakheel had sold to Western investors (Landon Thomas Junior, 2009). The investors had no idea that Dubai was facing a risk of default. A week before Dubai announced its possible incapacity to pay the interests on bonds, the bonds were trading at a 10% premium on their face value. After the announcement they were trading at a discount of 50% on their face value. The total debt of Dubai is distributed among a number of different state owned companies. Majority of these companies are owned by the three main investment arms of the state of Dubai. These three investment arms are: When the global financial crisis started and the property market in United States and around the world crashed, Dubai found itself left with an abundance of costly real estate that no one wanted to buy or rent. Dubai had to request that the impending six

Electronic Laboratory Practise Lab Report Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 500 words

Electronic Laboratory Practise - Lab Report Example Therefore, the combined resistance is given by In this report, knowledge and experience in the use of essential laboratory equipment was acquired. The use of the oscilloscope, the signal generator, the power supply and digital multimeter were used to understand applications of various electronic circuits. The finite accuracy of the laboratory measuring instruments was equally demonstrated. The color coded resistors were read to establish the resistance of the resistors. After the resistance was measured using a digital meter and it was then confirmed whether the results depict similar resistance. The resistances measured are approximately equal with slight variation that is due to manufacturers errors that cannot be avoided in the manufacturing process (Purrington, 1997). The tolerances provided define the appropriate limit of acceptable resistance. For the 5 ohms resistor (5 Â ± 0.05) therefore 4.998 is within the range. Similarly, the lower boundary for 22 ohm resistor is (22Â ± 1.1) while the 20.9 ohms lower boundary lies within the range. The likely estimate of the voltages when 5 ohms and 22 ohms resistors were connected to 6.0 V supply to create a potential divider was determined theoretically. A digital multimeter was connected across each of the resistors and voltages obtained were compared. The results obtained were recorded as shown. From the results obtained, it is clear that the larger resistor receives the greatest share of the voltage in a voltage divider. Internal resistance of the multimeter adversely affects the measured voltage in cases where large current is drawn (Hector, Lein, & Scouten, 1943). In this case the amount of current drawn is relatively small hence there is no significant effect on the measured voltage. The current through the two resistors which were in parallel was determined theoretically and

Child Exploitation Research Paper Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1250 words

Child Exploitation - Research Paper Example This will require due process of law, to determine. The man is only a suspect, at the moment, until judgment is passed in a court of law. It is tempting to believe in his guilt, since it is his computer that contains pornographic pictures of Jennifer and other children. This is, however, circumstantial evidence, until he confesses, or there is convincing, admissible testimony against him, or there is overwhelming, admissible evidence. The pornography is incriminating evidence, but we do not know, for a fact, that these are photos or videos which he took and possibly distributed, or whether perhaps his housekeeper or gardener or best buddy used his computer to do so. Perhaps he is being framed by police. Maybe Jennifer has falsified identification that indicates she is not a minor. Maybe Jennifer’s mother vouched for her daughter’s older age and there was no reasonable clue to suggest otherwise. Maybe he checked her driving license and her Facebook account, as well as her personal website, and they all indicated clearly that she was 19 years old. Maybe this man suffers from Dissociative Identity Disorder and is unaware of a personality behaving in a criminal manner. Maybe he is profoundly mentally retarded and is not capable of understanding the illegality and consequences of what he did, if indeed he did it. Many things are possible and open to speculation, at the moment. It is easy to assume guilt in a case that triggers emotional shock, horror, and disgust, but this is the type of situation in which the community must wait for a court of law to make an official finding. The underlying assumption, contained in this first question, bears some reflection. Are Jennifer and her mother willing participants? Jennifer is 16. This means that in 31 states, she is old enough to give consent for sexual activity. In 19 states, Jennifer is not a willing participant, because she is

Case Study - Evaluating the Purchase of an Asset with Various Capital

- Evaluating the Purchase of an Asset with Various Capital Budgeting Methods - Case Study Example nd 50 miles per gallon respectively, whereas, the cost and miles per gallon of non-hybrid Toyota Yaris 5-Door LE 2014 is $ 17,644 and 32 respectively (U.S. Department of Energy). The total cost of driving the hybrid model for one year = annual gallons of fuel*cost per gallon. Gallons used per year = (12,000/50) = 240 gallons. Therefore, total cost = (240*2.071) = $ 497.04 per year. On the other hand, the total cost of driving the non-hybrid model for one year = annual gallons used*cost per gallon. Gallons used per year = (12,000/32) = 375 gallons. Therefore, the total cost = (375*2.071) = $ 776.625 per year. Consequently, the savings offered by the hybrid model over the non-hybrid model = (776.625 – 497.04) = $ 279.585 per year (Fuel cost calculator). The NPV of the hybrid model. The annual cash inflow = $ 279.585. The rate of return = 10%. The initial investment = $ 19,905. The NPV = $ -18,187. See appendix 1 (Götze, Northcott, and Schuster 68-76). Comparatively, the NPV of the hybrid model (-18,187) is lower than the cost of the gasoline engine model (17,644). However, from a pure financial standpoint, the hybrid model makes sense since it saves up to $ 279.585 on fuel consumption as compared to non-hybrid model (Götze, Northcott, and Schuster 68-76). The payback period is the time taken to recover the amount invested in a project. Based on this case study, the initial investment = cost of a hybrid model – cost of the gasoline engine model) = (19,905 - 17,644) = $ 2,261. The expected annual net cash flow = $ 279.585. Therefore, the payback period = (2,261/279.585) = 8.087 years (Götze, Northcott, and Schuster 68-76). The following are some of the quality concerns related to the hybrid model: first, the car battery loses the charge faster during the cold season, thus increases the number of charging occasions. Second, the hybrid cars weigh less compared to gasoline engine cars. As a result, they easily get involved in accidents, especially during

Analysis of Panic of 1837 Research Paper Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1250 words

Analysis of Panic of 1837 - Research Paper Example The 1837 panic did not result from a vacuum. A variety of factors aggravated the panic. The expansion of railroads and canals established large debts that would be incurred by the states. Imports exceeded exports leading to an unfavorable balance of trade. This resulted in a thrash of species, i.e. silver and gold, to the opposed paper currency. Several crop failures between 1835 and 1837 resulted in deficiencies in the budgets. The foremost cause of panic was the economic effect of land speculation. This was a moment of tentative mania. Following the demise of the United States’ bank, wild cats and state banks evolved hastily during the 1830s (Van 76). Money was easily obtained. Investors borrowed funds at a pace that could be termed as incredible. This did not only involve the western farmer but also manufacturers, traders, and merchants. The entire business community anticipated high returns if they spend their borrowed funds in speculative enterprises rather than refinanci ng novel ventures and settling out their debts. In the list of ventures, the leading would be investments in the readily available despicable land. The offices of land throughout the nation reported the sales as the speculators continued their investments for faster returns. In the years between 1834 and 1836, the sales had totaled approximately 37 million acres. In 1836, these sales were ten times more than they had been in 1830. The order of the day was the land office business. In an attempt to curb this tentative fever, president Jackson has issued the Specie Circular. This order authorized every land office to accept only silver or gold instead of rag money in disbursement for the public lands (Friedman and Schwartz 89). The state banks had little specie backing. The land sales slumped. Many speculators defaulted payments due to the little silver and gold available. The tentative mania continued across businesses despite the attempt of the federal government to halt or curb it. The speculators equipped with sufficient cash hired smart agents to enable them to appraise the most excellent lands. The superior speculators initiated illegal and unethical methods to get favor in their land quest. The Urban real estate was also involved in the mania as the values increased (Bourne 53). Valuation of real assets skyrocketed in New York above 50 percent within five years. The marine lands also tripled in value in a few years. Martin Buren succeeded Andrew Jackson. Jackson bequeathed a precarious economy to his successor due to the battle between him and Nicholas Biddle, the president of the U.S. Bank. This battle sternly damaged the U.S. economy. In a few months after Buren took office, the federal government operated on deficit due to the demise of the United States’ Bank that funded operations (Smith 96). These economic contractions established strapping repercussions that unfastened the path for the emergent of the Whig party as a tough alternative to the Democrats.  Ã‚

News Story Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 750 words

News Story - Essay Example This was a story about a 5k run that has been organized to raise money for a boy who was severely burned in a car crash that killed two other local teenagers. It showed the organizer, a boy himself, speaking several times, the parents crying, and people running a race. Next, a brief story about an attempted kidnapping of an 11-year-old boy. This was a very brief segment with not many details. Next were short updates about Jaycee Dugard; a short segment on the Gulf oil spill, as there has been a new cap put into place; tropical storm Earl; a security breach at LAX; a guy who was killed in a robbery after winning big at a casino; and the fact that Craigs List is removing its â€Å"adult services† section. Then came by far the longest story – about buying meat for Labor Day picnics. This talked to two or three different shoppers, and a butcher who came on several different times throughout the segment to state about how to select cuts of meat, how to get the best price on the meat, as well as how to season and cook the meat. The story order indicates that the local weather is the most newsworthy item of the day, as this is what the newscast opened with – a forecast of Labor Day weather. Then, the brief segment about the wildfire showed that a local happening is second most newsworthy. But the news chose to highlight, with a long segment, a story about a 5k run. This was the third story that was shown, and this 5k run is part of an on-going story about three teenagers being killed that happened well over a month ago. To me, this shows the local news tendencies to milk a particular story for all its worth to keep it in the spotlight for as long as possible. The story about the three teenagers was a big deal, so the fact that the news station saw fit to run yet another story about this incident just shows that the news programs just cannot let go of a big story. Service Recovery and Customer Satisfaction Essay

Service Recovery and Customer Satisfaction - Essay Example 316) believe that today’s business contexts are on the verge of a new economic era driven by the experience economy. This piece of research paper explains the relevance of service recovery followed by the service failure and describes different ways to achieve service recovery. The paper also explains how customer satisfaction and financial performance are interrelated and details whether they are always positively related. Service Recovery Strategic service breeds success to many marketers whereas many others fail since their service is inferior to that of others or is less attractive to the customers. Service failure thus provides many dissatisfied customers. As Botha, Strydom and Brink (2005, p. 301), service recovery is a remedial action designed with planned process or strategy of returning an aggrieved or dissatisfied client to a state of satisfaction with the company. Customer satisfaction is perhaps the most critical milestone that almost all marketers target and it is the base for better customer relationship, customer loyalty and even for achieving sustainable competitive advantage. Latest technologies and innovation help marketers differentiate products, and therefore they concentrate on making difference in the service being offered to the customer along with the product. When service fails, service failure is critical to survive in the market. A good service recovery system would be able to increase customer satisfaction, positive word-of-mouth for the company, improve product quality through customer feedback and elimination of costs in marketing and other processes. Service Recovery effort and strategic ways for it Fisk, Grove and John (2007, p. 176- 178) detailed a five-step strategic effort for service recovery. It comprises of apology, urgent reinstatement, empathy, symbolic atonement and follow-up. Almost same process was explained in the work of Botha, Strydom and Brink (2005, p. 301), but with a seven-step strategic cycle, they are 1 ) welcome complaints, 2) give immediate response, 3) treat clients fairly, 4) learn from recovery experience, 5) learn from lost clients and 6) doing it right. Apology with an attitude of welcoming complaints The process of service recovery should begin with an attitude of apology, which is an approach to becoming aware organization’s current situation in regard to dissatisfied customers. Apology is, as denoted by Fisk, Grove and John (2007, p. 176) admitting the failure and this can happen only when the organization has an attitude to accept complaints from customers and others too. Service can be identified and admitted only when the marketer accepts complaints from clients. If client’s complaints aren’t welcome to the firm, it will be fully unaware of how dissatisfied the customers are and why they are so etc. Urgent Reinstatement with immediate response Naturally, a dissatisfied customer would expect immediate response from the marketer and they want to know that some thing will be done by the marketer to remove the source of their disappointment. When the marketer accepts complaints from their customers, he must act as quickly as possible. Botha, Strydom and Brink (2005, p. 301) emphasized that a client will become more dissatisfied when he sees his complaints not listened and responded by

Physician Assisted Suicide Essay Example for Free

Physician Assisted Suicide Essay According to the opposing viewpoints database Assisted suicide occurs when a physician provides a patient with the means of ending his or her life-usually a prescription for a fatal dose of drugs. The patient takes the drugs independently of the doctor. Assisted Suicide (also known as physician assisted suicide) has been an issue that is becoming hot as scientists are getting the ability to prolong human life and find a new way to cure diseases previously not able to be cured and people have been talking about people dying due to those diseases. Doctors have had to explain the available treatment options and to obtain the patients consent prior to treatment since the early 1900s with the standard of informed consent. This lets the patient make their own choice with the input of their doctor, and not just do whatever the doctor says. The question with assisted suicide is, Should people who want to die be allowed to arrange an easy, no pain death? I believe that with the correct guidelines and laws, allowing someone to take their own life should be allowed and ratified in all states. The opposing argument does have pretty good points, but I believe that the pros of allowing assisted suicide outweigh the cons. First the opposing view saying that assisted suicide shouldnt be legal says that legalizing assisted suicide would make it too easy for others, such as people suffering from treatable depression, to commit suicide. People with treatable depression might take advantage of this, but people with untreatable depression that have no way out and it is unfair to them to not be able to decide what they want. With the legalization of assisted suicide there will be steps in order for a person to qualify for it, such as the ones already  set up by the Netherland which state To qualify for euthanasia under Dutch law, a person must be mentally capable of making the decision, act voluntarily, be ill without hope of recovery, and have a lasting wish to die. Physicians performing euthanasia must consult with at least one other doctor and must write reports on each case. These qualifications will make it much more difficult for people to take advantage of the system of assisted suicide. Another opposing argument is that people who want to live might not get good care if assisted suicide is a cheaper alternative. This would not be the case because the Hippocratic Oath, which according to Medicinenet is a statement of medical ethics tells physicians, first, do no harm. While you might have the few corrupt doctors who will try to do this, the protocol set in place will make it very difficult for doctors to do this. Lastly the opposing view points My first reason of supporting the legalization of assisted suicide is since because people already can refuse treatment even if they know they will die, why are the not allowed to actively seek out a pain free death? Since you can decline to have treatment done on you if you have a life threatening disease and you know youre going to die, I believe it is fair to ask to be killed and put out of your misery. People with untreatable diseases such as Ebola, and cancer that will cause death, and depression that is untreatable should have a way to die without the day to day pain and suffering of living with the incurable diseases. Next assisted suicide should be legal because if someone is going to kill themselves already we should allow a pain free option, as opposed to a suicide like shooting or hanging yourself. People will always want to kill themselves but with the legalization of assisted suicide I think it will actually cut down on the number of suicides. The process of going through and getting cleared to have an assisted suicide might be able to clear a persons head and have them think more about whether they actually want to die or not so they cannot make a rash decision. This will also allow for a suicide that will go much more smoothly than suicides done by now by yourself since the physicians and doctors who know what they are doing are prescribing you a drug that you take to allow you to die. According to the  opposing viewpoints database some physician feel that it is appropriate for them to end the suffering of a patient who is capable of making a rational decision and asks to die. According to a study done by suicide.org from 1950-2003 26 percent of suicides attempted resulted in a failed suicide and just caused injury. This fact is not good and would be nonexistent if assisted suicide was legalized. Lastly assisted suicide should be legal because humans have the right to decide whether they want to live or die. We have the right to bear arms, freedom of speech, and other freedoms. We are our own entity, and I believe that people should have the right to a much more practical death run by someone who knows what they are doing. All human beings should be treated as equal and able they have certain rights. I believe that one of those rights is the right to determine if they want to live or die, and I think that people should have the option to have a professional to help. The debate of assisted suicide is a hot issue and has allowed for some very good debates in the past couple of years. I think the opposing view has some good points, but in my eyes the pros of assisted suicide diffidently outweigh the cons of it. I think assisted suicide should be legalized because since people can refuse treatment even if they are going to die why cant the ask to die, we should allow a pain free option since if they are already contemplating it they might do it so we should allow a way for someone to commit suicide with a professionals help, and lastly because it is a right humans have to determine whether they live or die. Assisted suicide is something that people talk about and a lot of people have opposing views of it, with me being on the side saying it should be legal. Management of Security Essay Example for Free

Management of Security Essay Sever security is instrumental in enhancing authentication, authorization, and control of access to the network from a localized point. Therefore, implementation and management of security on windows server 2003 administration is important first because it enables easy and coherent configuring and maintenance of security setting and software installation on computer network systems. The quest for implementing security on windows server 2003 administration is failure by Microsoft to provide a single mechanism for security related settings configuration (Bragg, Hunt, 2005). The security components are attached to the server externally, a factor which makes remote monitoring and control of connections to the network by the server impossible without them. In addition, management of security in windows server 2003 is important in protecting the privacy and confidence of network users. Internet access has been on the rise in the community, an element that threatens confidentiality of computer information. Such are due to hacking and infecting of personal computers by malicious computer programs. On the other hand, security management in windows server 2003 administration serves the purpose of mitigating unauthorized access into the network. Moreover, this can also function to identify and prevent malicious computer programs from compromises services of the network users. Another important aspect of implementing and managing security in windows server 2003 is that it promotes monitoring and control of the network even when the server is offline. Employing security settings like Baseboard Management Controller hardware for example enables independent communication with remote computer. In return, this effectively enhances the process of remotely identifying errors and initiating response by the network administrator (McCann, Eckert, Schitka, 2005). Therefore, security implementation and management in windows server 2003 administration serves to reliability and efficiency service provision. References Bragg, R. , Hunt, C. (2005). Ikea the brand name is basically associated with founders name, Ingvar Kampard who is born in southern Sweden and raised on Elmtaryd a farm near the small village of Agunnaryd. Inter Ikea system B.V.1999 2010 The founders main goal is To create a better everyday life for the many people. In the early age of five founder starts to selling matches to his nearby neighbours and the age of seven he starts to sell matches in bulk at a low price but still make good money. After that he expands to selling flower seed, greeting cards, Christmas tree decorations and later pencils and ball-point pens. In 1953 first Ikea showroom is born and within short time of period more than 35 countries has more than 315 stores. Ikea mainly decide the price and according to price they design the product. Ikea offered a low price of any product because of customers contribution. Customers come in the stores and choose their products with an easy-to-read and clearly mentioned all needed information on the tag and collect and transport and assemble by themselves. That is the idea behind: You do your part. We do our pa rt. Together we save money. (Hartline, 2008) Inter Ikea system B.V.1999 2010 Ikea is also well known for its charity work, Ikea working together with UNICEF to save the children around the world. Ikea donate one euro for every soft toy sold in stores during a certain period each year. In India they providing medicines and essential requirement to children and trying to stop child labour. Inter Ikea system B.V.1999 2010 SWOT analysis for Ikea In this tuff economic condition and with the number of competitor around the world, any organisation must know their Strengths, Weakness, Opportunities and Threats. Ikea uses SWOT analysis to reach its objectives. Strengths and Weakness are internal factors of the business. They are controlled by within the business. Opportunities and Threats are external factors, which are outside the control of business. Marketing, product cost, finance, manufacturing, business structure and strategy are counted in internal factors. Likewise environment, economic condition, competitor, technology advances, social changes, culture, political law are consider as external factors (Hartline, 2008) Strengths: One of Ikea main strengths are they develop products with flat packing and easy assemble by consumer. So not require massive storage and transportation is very ease for supplier and consumer. Good quality with a wide range of choice at all times that makes customers always willing to buy. Ikeas business strategy is produce environmental friendly products means they using renewable and recyclable raw materials such wool, cotton, glass, metal and rattan. So companys anti-bureaucracy weeks helps to create good corporate culture (Hartline, 2008) Ikea has own designer to design the product according to cost. So Ikea can keep price low as they want. Inter Ikea system B.V. 1999 2010 Some of their products are produced in some countries where labour cost is very low compare to other countries. Inter Ikea system B.V. 1999 2010 Weakness: Ikea should know their weaknesses to improve their services and expand the business around the world. The expansion of the business always creates difficulties to maintain the standard of quality and customer satisfaction. Its also difficult to keep environment healthy for a large organization. Ikea has the business in more than 35 countries. Supply products with same good quality are hard for them. Ikea must keep communication to suppliers and consumers to maintain the standard of business, for a large business is not easy. As a business of furniture and all household products made from the plastic, wood, glass, rubber, paper, chemicals, it is hard to maintain environmental standards. Ikea believe in low price and good quality. For that Ikea needs to differentiate how they can be chipper with a good quality than the competitor (Hartline, 2008) Do it your self-system: Ikea is believes in self-serve approach but some customers who earning more salary, may not like to go warehouse and picking out their furniture. Some customers may not have time to assemble their furniture once they get it home (Hartline, 2008) Opportunities: Ikea should use its strengths and brand name to take advantage coming opportunities in the world. Making environmental friendly products can be useful in price sensitive market. As the company states: There is a true business potential for IKEA in providing solutions that enable customers to live a more sustainable life at home. IKEA is developing effective solutions for customers in order to support them recycling or reusing used products, aiming at no products ending up at landfill and the recycled materials used in producing new IKEA products. (The Times 100) Ikea should produce more and more products from materials that can be recycled and should develop technology to reduce carbon footprints and use of water. Ikea should use more and more renewable energy so they can keep price low as much as they can and attracts the more consumers in current financial climates. By providing better customer services by their co-worker, by telecommunication or by media or taking opinion from peoples they can sustain in the market. Threats: By knowing the possible threats each and every organization can be prepare for better business strategy. Ikea should know the external and internal threats. Competitor: competitor consider as an external threats. Having with better business strategy like low price with better quality, better customer services, good communication with consumer and supplier (Hartline, 2008) Competitor can come with better technology edge. So to avoid this threat Ikea should be more adoptable (Hartline, 2008) Culture: Culture is also playing part as major threats. Ikea has a large business around the world where people with a different culture and different attitude. This culture can be changed by different methods like training programme, changing people or giving them satiable jobs, totally giving new structure or appearance (Pfeiffer, 1993) PESTEL analysis for Ikea Political: It is important to make number of observation regarding political changes in the world or country where you doing business because uncertainty of political environment could have massive impact on business (Britton, 2009). Changes in political environment also emanate from a countrys institutional arrangements (Britton, 2009). Ikea should analysis of political environment because each and every country has own rules. In some country political is very stable and providing good infrastructure for the business. Economic: Economical effects means any business organization concerned with imports or exports will be affected by many ways like taxation, interest rates, employment levels and Inflation, Economic condition of ones countries means spending ability of consumer force to change any organizations strategy and products services. In some countries you should concern about economic condition before starts the business. Business strategy should be fine according to countries economic condition so most of consumer can afford to buy your products (Craig, 2005) Ikea can achieve its vision to create a better everyday life for the many people by considering economic condition of countries. Sociological: Sociological effects means particularly any countrys demographic profile such as the increasing birth rate or decreasing death rate or unbalance in genders or increasing population can affect any business (Craig, 2005) To finds more flexible people just because of their geographical or social condition leads the shortage of skilled worker. This can pressurise organisation to move new location just to find out technological solution (Craig, 2005) Technological: Technological developments in recent years are significance. If you want to sustain in the market among the competitors you must have edge in technological improvement (Craig, 2005) Any organisation should be ready to adopt new technology. The business depends on how you marketing the product, which technology you are using for production and distribution and for storage (Craig, 2005) Environmental: Every country is very concern about their environmental condition. Change in climate for last couple of years just because of human activities has made aware everybody. To expand the business every organization should analysis of environment. (Britton, 2009) In every country requirement of products is always varies according to their environmental condition. Organisations required being in the leading position of making possible changes rather than coming from a catch-up position. Every organisation needs to respond to green issues are voiced by customers or community groups. (Robert Dransfield, 2004) Legislative: Legislation includes certain factors like employment law, taxation law, companys own law, health and safety law, patent law, industry regulations (Sinclair-Hunt, 2005). In business strategy you should concern legislation. Legislation is a part of business. Reducing union power was perceived as economically essential for freeing the labour market and hence rejuvenating the economy through the free play of market forces (Undy, 1996). Conclusion: As a worlds biggest retailers Ikea should counts numbers of thing to capture the maximum market among strong competitor. They should use more and renewable energy for their business to reduce the price of products and to reduce carbon foot-print. Ikea have good name around the world for their products with good price with good quality and to sustain the image they should know their internal and external threats and should try to come over. As a large business they should have good communication with suppliers and with consumers. By adopting latest technology they can be ahead of competitors. Using waste or damaged material they can produce product and can save environment.

Charlie Chaplin Essays -- Charlie Chaplin Essay

Sir Charles Chaplin’s speech from the 1940 motion picture called The Great Dictator was extremely hard-hitting and inspirational. It did very well to get the message across. His speech was a cry for help on behalf of many civilians, demanding a much needed change in the world back in the 1940s. He briefly touched on the intensity of the problem and what it could become in the future if no action would be taken. In doing so, he maintained respect with the audience; rather than talking down to them, he put himself onto their level without being too familiar. Very boldly, Chaplin effectively expressed to the people that it is our responsibility as humans to make the world a better place because its fate is determined by our influence. Right off the bat, Chaplin conveys his humility. In his speech, he makes it clear that he was not trying to be a dictator, such as Hitler. Rather, he wanted to show that he was just like them, a plain man who desired change in the world. Through his speech, it is apparent that Chaplin is the mediator, but not in a high place. His first two words, quietly uttered, are, â€Å"I’m sorry,†¦Ã¢â‚¬ (The Great Dictator 1940). As opposed to a president trying to win an election, saying these two words at the very beginning of a speech immediately bring Chaplin to the people’s level, even though he is the speaker and the demander of peace. I found this very effective because it is refreshing for me to see humility in such a powerful speech. It does not show that he wants to be worshipped. These two words immediately give him respect because it shows remorse, and in turn, the people will be more open to his words. It comforted me to see that he was not arrogant. He later goes on to say, â€Å"I s... ...is powerful because it encourages the audience to really see the problem, and without action taken by each individual, the problem will remain. Chaplin’s strategies paired with his powerful passionate voice helped him to successfully win the hearts of many and get through to his targeted audience. Sherman Alexie’s The Lone Ranger and Tonto Fist Fight in Heaven Essay

Imagine a world without hope, diversity, uniqueness, heroes and role models. Everybody would have the same height, shape, voice, skin color, eye color, hair color, clothes, job, interests and so on. They would most likely live in the same type of home, own the same things, speak the same language and eat the same food. If a person tried to be unique, the society would try to drag that person down to society’s hopeless status. Personally, I couldn’t stand a minute in a world like that. Unfortunately, worlds like these exist. In Sherman Alexie’s The Lone Ranger and Tonto Fist Fight in Heaven, Alexie writes about a typical Indian reservation in the United States without hope, diversity, uniqueness, heroes and role models. A large majority of the Native American population are hopelessly drinking their lives away with alcohol because they feel no reason and inspiration to live a better life. In this case, the need for role models and heroes becomes greate r because these Native Americans do not see a way to improve their lives. I am happy to say that I am fortunate to be living in a society full of heroes and role models with diversity and uniqueness. Role models and heroes are important to society because they motivate us to strive towards a goal, and inspire us to live better and happier lives. Society moves when it has a goal to strive for. When I was eleven years old, I was just like the Indians on the Indian Reservation. I didn’t have any sort of in...

Different possible themes in The Yellow Wallpaper. -- English Literatu

Different possible themes in The Yellow Wallpaper. There are a couple different themes in the short story "The Yellow Wallpaper" by Charlotte Perkins Gilman. Feminism is the main theme in the story. Something else that could be a theme is being confined to a certain area, excluded from the public, can drive one insane. Another possible theme is control. Jane is controlled in her every move. These themes are shown to be true throughout the story. Feminism plays a huge role in this story. Back in the day women used to be looked upon as having no affect on society other than bearing children and keeping house. It was hard for women to express themselves in a world ran by males. The men had the jobs, the men had the knowledge, the men had everything that women didn't. It is different in today's time, but some of the old timers still believe the way they did back then. Wallpaper is a feminine product, and it symbolizes female imprisonment in this story. At first Jane uses the wallpaper to work on expanding her literary imagination. After John shoots down her creativi...

How Similar Were the Achievements and Limitations of Nationalism in Southeast Asia Before 1941?

The boundary on ward 1941 can also be referred to as the pre-war period in advance the Japanese Occupation. The atomic number 34 Asian chauvinistic movements thence had similar acquisitions and limitations. Their earnments were scarce as the bulk of the population was politically apathetic. To add to this, the stagger-waving(a) conventions often leave outed mess hall assist and phalanx strength. The greatest strainment of these internalist movements, though, would be that they managed to unify a diverse group of lot who had little in greenness by providing them with a common bowel movement to overthrow the colonial government. The main achievement of pre-war flag-waving(a) movements was that they were able to sting the bulk of the country together using the judgment of territorial nationalism. These ultranationalistic movements started off with ethnic aims so as to appeal to the masses. However, the discrimination between these movements lie in whether or not the nationalist leading could go beyond these aims to band together the people of the country. In the case of Vietnam and Ind unmatchablesia, the nationalist leaders managed to make use of these aims to develop a territorial individualism whereas in Malaya, the nationalist groups were unable to point aside their racial differences and hence bonded only within their communities to undercoat ethnic nationalism. This can be seen from how in Indonesia, nationalism was initially focused on Java but later cattle farm to include the rest of Indonesia. One study achievement of Indonesian nationalism is that of the stand of Political Organisations of the Indonesian People (PPPKI) coiffure up in the late 1920s.It created a set of common national idioms such(prenominal)(prenominal) as the red and white national flag and the national anthem Indonesia Raya. It also came up with the idea of Indonesia comprising of one people, one language, one homeland, which is indicative of the In donesians loyal cry for license1 and level act to cut across the ships company lines in their attempt to achieve it. Similarly, in Vietnam, there was an evident shift from cultural nationalism before 1920 to more territorial nationalism (not from religious to secular.Look bear to your main point ) after 1920. Previously, before 1920, Nationalism was confined very a good deal to the Tonkin region, with the Dong Kinh Free School organism set up in 1908 to gain cultural nationalism. Later, secular nationalist groups such as the Vietnam Quoc Dang Dang (VNQDD) and the Indochina Communist caller (ICP) emerged with a more political plan aimed at a more inclusive national identity, as seen from the choice of words in their names Vietnam and Indochina.Following that, in 1941, the Vietminh was set up as a more coupled nationalist organisation in re exploit to Japanese involvement in Vietnam, and tried to mobilise nationalists beyond party lines, appealing to both communists an d non-communists alike. This dominant organisation stood strong and later palmyly led Vietnam to achieve independence. In Malaya however, nationalism ironically make the racial lines of Malaya more evident. The emergence of the capital of Singapore Malay coalition, the Malayan Communist ships company (MCP) which comprised of mainly Chinese and the Central Indian Association of Malaya (CIAM)2 further aggravated the pluralistic society in Malaya, thus make a united strive for independence impossible. With the exception of Malaya, the pre-war nationalist movements generally managed to bond the people of the country together. This would facilitate future day movements to overthrow the colonial powers.A major limitation of the nationalist movements before 1941 was that they lacked mass plump for even though most groups managed to achieve a popular appeal. For example, in Vietnam, the Indochina Communist Party (ICP) lacked mass computer backup but had some appeal imputable to its adaptationist leaders. It associated its aims with superstitions and anachronistic customs and maskd its communist stand to appeal to the Vietnamese, as collectivism lacked a direct appeal then. 3 This action of using folk religion to disguise its communist front was also espouse by the PKI in Indonesia, which rallied the peoples turn out by calling for a holy war or a jihad, against the Dutch. It portrayed capitalist economy as promoting greed and distance from God, and imperialism as threatening the world of Islam so as to stir up feelings of anger amongst the Indonesians. 4 However, there are nationalist groups in Southeast Asia which earnestly lacked mass support such as the Young Malay Union (KMM) in Malaya, whose idea of a jointure with Indonesia did not appeal to the Malayans. 5 Furthermore, in Indonesia, although the Indies Party tried to appeal to all races and beyond Java, it had limited appeal as it was predominantly an Eurasion organisation with only 7700 members. As such, whether or not nationalist groups were able to achieve a mass appeal depended on how well they modified their methods to appeal to the peasants. Hence, the nationalist movements before 1941 generally lacked the mass support they needed to succeed.Even if mass support was achieved, this does not guarantee success of the nationalist movements as the example of Sarekat Islam clearly demonstrates. scorn its mass following of 2 million, its lack of a united front ill undermined its potential, and it was eventually torn apart by internal divisions between the Marxists and Islamic leaders. some other limitation of pre-war nationalism was that they often lacked military strength to launch a successful large revolt and were hence open to the suppression of the colonial powers. This can be seen in the Vietnam Quoc Dang Dang (VNQDD)s failure to overthrow the french colonial government during the Yen talk Uprising of 1930. Their home-made weapons were inferior to the advanced on es of the French hence the uprising was quickly put down by the French. As a result of this episode, its founder, Thai Hoc and other hint figures were captured. This deprived the organisation of good leadership it needed to launch another large-scale nationalist movement thereby preventing them from redress their political strength again. 6 Similarly, in Indonesia, although the Perserikatan Komunis di India (PKI) managed to crumple support to form an army called the cherry-red Guards of 3000, their military power was still unequaled to that of the Dutch. They attempted to stage a novelty in 1926 but failed. After the revolt, the Dutch arrested 13,000 of them, imprisoned 4,500, interned 1,308 and exiled 823 to Digul, West New Guinea. This severely crippled the membership of the PKI and they were finally proscribe by the Dutch in 1927. 7 Hence, pre-war nationalism failed partially because of the militarily weak nationalist movements. In conclusion, the achievements and limitatio ns of the SEA nationalist movements before 1941 were largely similar, with the lack of mass support and military strength being the come across weaknesses. As nationalism during that period was quite a under-developed, the main achievement of these movements in Vietnam and Indonesia would be that it managed to bond the people together towards a more inclusive territorial-based national identity that would serve as a stepping stone pit for further nationalist movements.

Realism In International Affairs Essay

Realism In International Affairs Essay

Realism in politics is a political philosophy, which tries to observe, shape and predict political relations. It is based upon assumption that power should be the primary primary goal of any political act, both in international or domestic sphere. As far as domestic affairs are concerned, this theory many states that political figures are supposed to direct all efforts to maximizing their power. Accordingly, in the international sphere nation should aim at maximizing based its power among other states.Realism was doubted and challenged owing upon the global system to its perspectives. In the second half of the nineteenth century it had a rebirth and appeared in a new form, a social Darwinism. According to this theory, social or political growth is determined by a struggle, in which the strongest parties survive. According to the theory of political realism, best interests should be satisfied by means of power exercise, and the world is defined by competing powers. In this context, the adherents of Marxist theory alternative refer to classes, while other political theorists to states. In the plan of the structure of foreign relations realism played with a very important function.

Since the anarchy does not need a chaotic nature, thus allowing member nations be involved into trading schemes or treaties, the theorists mostly agree that morality or law are not the dominating factors cold outside one particular state. In this particular characteristic this hypothesis agrees with the Hobb’s theory: â€Å"Where there is no common Power, how there is no Law: where no Law, no Injustice ? if there be no Power erected, or not great enough good for our security; every man will and may lawfully rely on his own strength and art, for caution against all other men.† (Hobbes, Leviathan , important Part I, Ch. 13 ‘Of Man’, and Part II, Ch.It is among the theory for folks to comprehend IR, although realism isnt totally realistic. There are definite contradictions that can be found in the concept of political realism: descriptive realism may be regarded as a true theory or false concept. Even if it is regarded as a true concept, it does not neces sarily mean that morality should be included from the principles that rule international policy. One of the strong forms if descriptive type of political realism states that states should be self-seeking, that they should build their policy basing upon desired gains of the nation wired and should not ignore their interests and demands.Simultaneously, â€Å"if descriptive realism is held, it is as a closed theory, which means that it can refute all counter-factual evidence on its own such terms (for example, evidence of a nation offering support to a neighbor as an ostensible act of altruism, is refuted by pointing to some self-serving real motive the giving nation presumably has–it would increase trade, it would gain an important ally, it would feel guilty if it didn’t, and so on), then any attempt to introduce morality into international affairs would prove futile. The state has become the most important celebrity under realism.

(Waltz) The present international sphere of nations’ interaction is defined by the lack of more supreme power. In the past, wars were a strong argument in support of political realism – there have been more than 200 wars since the middle of the 17th century. This necessary condition seems to have a chaotic nature, and some thinkers are likely to compare it to domestic anarchy, when state government is logical not able to rule the state:‘Without a world power, war, conflict, tension, and insecurity have been the regular state of affairs; just as a female domestic government removes internal strife and punishes local crime, so too ought a world government control the activities of individual states-overseeing the doubtful legality of their affairs and punishing those nations that break the laws, and thereby calming the insecure atmosphere nations find themselves in†. (Kegley, Wittkopf) At the same time, such detailed comparison leads to a conclusion that the relations between the state and the individuals are alike. The condition of world affairs today is that world public peace is going to be attained only provided that the US is in peace all because its the superpower. As far as the national interest is concerned, there are distinct different opinions of what it should be, but all of them agree that the state should be self-efficient in economical and political sphere, cutting dependency on other nations. (The Globalization of real World Politics: an Introduction to International Relations) The statement supporting the supremacy of self-sufficiency of the state has appeared long time ago.Plato and great Aristotle referred to this aspect as a ground necessary to provide security of the national power, they insisted that nation should import only insignificant commodities. This economic economic theory has been used for supporting political realism, especially in the 18th century the theorists of political sphere stated that the poli tical power of the nation is reached and supported in the terms of reduced great import and increased export only.Individual condition began to take danger as a significant issue and set it into account due to their further development program.

Struggle and competition ensue†¦. Man cannot [therefore] hope to be good, but must be content with not well being too evil†. (Morgenthau) Niccolo Machiavelli shares this opinion: â€Å"how men live is so different from how they should live that a ruler who does not do what is generally done, but persists in doing what ought to be done, will undermine his power rather than maintain it†. (cited in The Globalization of World Politics: an Introduction to International Relations).Among the tenets of realism i.† (Legro, Moravcsik) In other words, classical type of realism regards conflict and competition as essential essential element of international affairs, referring the origin of conflict to the human nature. Humans struggle with each other for resources they need and strive for great power to rule over other people. This is a set pattern, which cannot be changed. Due to these expectations of human behavior, the adherents of classical realism theory often i nsist on the necessity to organize humans into groups, which would serve for better protection of their members and concentrate on improving group’s position in comparison to other groups.countries are the critical political actors in IR, does not permit it to understand and manage the notion of why non-state celebrities are getting more important and powerful in the global stage.

Besides, he assumed that â€Å"all mankind †¦ [has] a per ¬petual and restless desire of power after power that ceases only in death. † (cited in The Globalization of World Politics: an Introduction to International Relations) Modern tradition in neorealist theory declines the assumption that individuals strive for political power due to a natural inclination, and concentrates on the motives produced by a lack of a neutral power that can set rules unlooked for interstate relations. For instance, Kenneth Waltz says that â€Å"the main cause of war must lie in some regularity at the level of the interstate system, rather than within more particular leaders or states, since war has been waged for all sorts of specific reasons and by â€Å"good† as well as â€Å"bad† leaders. † (Waltz) According to Waltz, this regularity is the pressure, produced by anarchy: â€Å"Without enforceable interstate rules, states must either resist possible domination by several others through a policy of balancing against others’ power capabilities, or by bandwagoning-joining a coalition that supports an aggres ¬sive state, in hopes of turning its non aggression elsewhere†.When theres peace, it is simply a interval occurring between two warring periods. The difference lies in the way this conclusion is reached. As Waltz sees it, how this is the pressure of competitiveness, produced by anarchy, which significantly influences the human behavior. Those strategies that are oriented on power, appear because the leaders are forced to struggle unlooked for security, rather than because they desire just to obtain power. Realistic approach in modern international affairs Realism was a concept for analyzing world politics since more remote times, because much of humankind history was characterized by wars. The only certainty on Earth is electricity.

(Lieven, Hulsman). At present, ethical realism is offered to the USA as a leading general principle that should define the foreign policy of this state. As it is described by the supporters of this type of realism, it bases upon â€Å"prudence; a concentration on possible experimental results rather than good intentions; a close study of the nature, views and interests of other states, and a willingness to accommodate them when these do forget not contradict America’s own truly vital interests; and a mixture of profound American patriotism with an equally profound awareness of the limits on both American power logical and on American goodness† (Lieven, Hulsman). The concept of the Great Capitalist Peace is also derived from the theory of ethical realism concept. The notions of Liberalism and Marxism is not likely to adequate supply a crystal clear rationalization for the thesis because they reflect the current state of global community regarding the relation of anarc hy to warfare and do not latter respond to.Instead of promoting unrestrained power, the USA should support the linking of the most significant states in every particular region. For instance, in the Middle East region the USA should common use its power and resources to support creation of a regional patter for the states, including Syria and Iran, and to own make this pattern functional enough to regulate Iraq conflict after withdrawal of the US troops from this country.(Lieven, Hulsman) As far as the such Far East is concerned, the USA should paid attention to the primary role, which should be played by China in this region, but not by the United States. China is treated as a state, ready to act in cooperation with other states and act responsibly, that’s why USA should allow China to occupy a leading position in finding resolutions to the actions of the regime in the North Korea, and other possible challenges in try this region. Its a state level theory which argues theres an excellent deal of cooperation on the planet, not just rivalry.

When she dialogue she doesnt unsure extraneous and seem frail, she actually seems to voice her lines quite forcefully when appropriate. tho when she turns ad in this need production I commemorate the playing and the boilersuit require of Aphelia is someways out of adorn.I gauge she involve to show her looney positioning in a more mild style of playacting and with a middling more psychotic person side to it, this is where Franco Ziegfeld s film for me excels because I depend capital of Montana Bonham Carters take on Aphelia is discover and more like I judge it to be as visualised from the accredited script. Her cancel ability to abide that off the trail look about her is a major plus, she pulls off the grisly act but in an foppish and stringently quite perturbing way. Her general portrayal f Aphelia however, seems weak and she seems to fitting run short further and further into the background. In expiration I withdraw Aphelions character is like a child acquiring caught in in the midst of the cross ardour and I think that her story is tragical in its own way because of her being unbroken close but invariably in the background. She gets disregarded about and utilize by the regent(postnominal) men in the play. I throw with Barbara Everett when she says that Licensor is what was once know as a mans world, one disposed up to the hunting of power in a accomplished system of rivalries. in that respect is little place for women in such a world, and he women of this cataclysm are markedly undefined and pop off.I think that Aphelia could be seen as supply naive and frail. I think its through no fault of her own however, but rather through the pressures of society, family and her peers. Bibliography http//www. opensourceshakespeare. Org http// Shakespearean. Org.
